This piece consists of two octahedrons, where a projector maps 3D images and a sound reactive light structure, transforming the surface and offering the geometry an immersive dimension. This three-dimensional shape, similar to two pyramids joined at the base, is found in nature, in crystals and minerals, and is also associated with mysticism, harmony, transformation, and higher consciousness. The octahedron is an elemental form that exists in the world of light and matter. Its shape challenges and transforms our perception. In sacred geometry, it aligns between the material and ethereal realms — a structure that is both grounded and suspended. The projected images in this installation include fragments of Kenneth Anger's films, invoking his imagery inspired by occultism, pop culture, psychedelic and queer aesthetics. The lamp structure designed to pass through the octahedron reveals not only its framework but also its potential — a prism that bends and expands luminosity, making it mutable, relational, and spectral. It can become a portal for alternative presents, futures or pasts that flicker in the present, mapping ephemeral and constantly shifting territories.
